A gene appears to determine whether breast cancer will spread to the brain.
Researchers at the National Cancer Institute say they've identified such a gene using human tissue samples, rather than animal studies.
The gene impacts the fuel tumors need to grow. And if scientists can figure out how to turn off that gene, it could help stunt the spread of breast cancer.
