UNI and ISU netters renew rivalry Wednesday

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- The Cyclone volleyball team will invade the McLeod Center for the first time in 2 years.  Iowa State won the 2007 match in straight sets.  However, the teams split last season which both coaches believe will lead to an intense match-up and a great atmosphere in Cedar Falls on Wednesday night.

"We're hoping to get a huge crowd," says UNI head coach Bobbi Petersen, "We're trying to break that attendance record that we had at 5,522, and really feel that we can do that."

"I think it's a great rivalry that will only continue to grow," added Cyclone head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch, "UNI's a great program traditionally.  They've been great for a number of years, and I'm excited that they're promoting it so well."

First serve Wednesday night is 7 o' clock, and in an effort to fill the McLeod Center, tickets will cost you just a buck apiece.
