VINTON (AP)--A judge has found an eastern Iowa woman guilty of vehicular homicide in a crash that killed a passenger in 2007.
Peggy Sue King, of Garrison, was charged in the accident near Vinton. King, who opted for a non-jury trial, was convicted by Judge Patrick Grady on Thursday in Benton County District Court. Sentencing will be set in October.
King was accused of losing control of her car and crashing into an embankment on July 28, 2007. A passenger, Brittany Glime, of Garrison, was killed. Another passenger was injured.
Authorities say King had a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit.
