Longtime Wrestling Official Resigns

A well known NCAA and high school wrestling official has decided to hang up his whistle after 35 years on the mat.

Hall-of-Fame wrestling official Mike Allen just said its time to step down. Allen who is in both the NCAA wrestling and Iowa high school hall of fames has officiated NCAA championship tournaments at every level-- Allen just recently retired from his post as the Waterloo East High school athletic director--his alma mater. Mike allen wrestled at u-n-i before beginning his long and distinguished career as a wrestling official.
