UNI-ISU Volleyball Tickets Just $1

Posted:

Cedar Falls (KWWL) - Panther fans will be able to watch the University of Northern Iowa volleyball team host in-state foe Iowa State for just $1 when the teams face off in the McLeod Center on Wed., Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.

The $1 tickets are part of an effort to help set a new volleyball attendance record. The record of 5,522 was set when the Panthers hosted Bradley in the first match in the McLeod Center on Nov. 18, 2006.

The Panthers open the season on Friday when they play against Virginia in the Texas A&M Invitational. Iowa State, who enters the season ranked as high as No. 11, opens play against UW-Milwaukee on Friday. The teams faced each other twice in 2008, with the Panthers claiming a 3-1 victory in Ames in September, and Iowa State winning 3-1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
