INDEPENDENCE (AP)--A hearing is set on a change of venue motion filed by attorneys for a Coralville woman accused of killing one son and wounding another.
Michelle Kehoe is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and child endangerment. She's accused of killing her 2-year-old son, Seth, and attempting to kill her 7-year-old son, Sean, in October 2008.
Prosecutors allege that she drove her children to a pond near Littleton in rural Buchanan County and bound them with duct tape before cutting their throats.
A hearing is set for Wednesday in Buchanan County District Court. Defense attorneys want to move the trial to another county or select a jury from another county due to pretrial publicity.
