Perkins Restaurant, Liquor Store latest in robbery spree

WATERLOO (KWWL) -  The Perkins restaurant on University Avenue is the latest victim in a rash of robberies in Waterloo.
It's the fifth new robbery investigation in Waterloo in the past 24 hours.

Police say just after 5:00 a.m., a white man in his 40's with thinning blonde hair walked in and demanded cash.  He did not display a weapon.  The man is also described standing 5'8" tall, and weighing around 195 lbs.
He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say he may be in a red two-door coupe.

Hours before, the Five-Star Snacks and Liquor Store on Sullivan Avenue was also robbed, this time by a white man in his 30's.  Police say a man entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.  Again in this case, the suspect did not use a weapon.
No one was hurt.

Investigators obtained a photo of the suspect from the 5 Star Snacks and More robbery and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying him.  The suspect is described as a white male in his thirties, approximately 6 feet tall and approximately 200 pounds with a goatee.  See attached photo.

If anyone has information about these robberies or this person's identify, they should call the Waterloo Police Department Investigation Division at 319-291-4333.
