Kernels Beat Clinton 4-3 to Begin Long Home stand

Jon Townsend delivered a two run single in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Kernels the first game of a four game series with the Clinton LumberKings, 4-3, on Monday night at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
 
Townsend finished the game 1-4 as Angel Castillo went 3-3 with a double and 2 RBI and Alexi Amarista was 3-4 with two doubles. Nolan Brannon went 2-4 as the Kernels had 11 hits in the game. Luis Nunez was 1-5 with 2 RBI and Ian Bladergroen was 1-4 with an RBI for Clinton.
