Dubuque native turns 100

DUBUQUE (KWWL) - There are many milestones in life, but for one woman in Dubuque, Saturday celebrated the milestone of a century. Eleanor Pfiffner turned 100 years old Friday.

Hundreds of friends and family members gathered at Eagle Point Park, a hundred year old park, to celebrate her life. At 100 years old she still lives alone and her family says she is "sharp as a tack."

Ask her how she made it this far and her answer is simple.

"Just as happy, had a good husband and a good family. Live in my house for 73 years," said Pfiffner.

To kick off the celebrations her grand daughters surprised her with a white limo last night for dinner. By the way she has 5 kids, 15 grandkids, and 14 great grandkids.
