Mount Mercy ranks in Top 20 Best Midwest Baccalaureate Colleges


CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - Mount Mercy College has been named one of the Top 20 Best Midwest Baccalaureate Colleges in the 2010 edition of American's Best Colleges. Mount Mercy ranks 19th, jumping five places from their 14th ranking last year.  The rankings includes more than 1,400 schools nationwide and will be published in the September issue of U.S. News and World Report magazine.  You can find this years edition starting August 20.

Mount Mercy has risen in rankings in the last few years.  In 2006 the collage rankded 40th; in 2007, 33rd; and in 2008 Mount Mercy was ranked 24th.

In 26 years, the U.S. News college rankings, has grown to be the most comprehensive research tool for students and parents considering higher education opportunities. The 2010 America's Best Colleges ranks the Best National Universities, Best Liberal Arts Colleges, and Best Historically Black Colleges, and Best Colleges for Financial Aid, A+ Schools for B Students, and Up-and-Coming Schools.
