Wisconsin Ends Bucks Playoff Hopes 9-0

Posted:

You could say this was the Waterloo Bucks last stand tonight at Riverfront Stadium.

The Bucks are hosting the Wisconsin Woodchucks in their final home game of the regular season-- and Waterloo has to its last five games to keep its slim playoff hopes alive.

One of the biggest crowds of the entire season show up for the last game at Riverfront for 2009.. and Bucks fans would watch Waterloo starter Lenny Linsky get raked. In in the first Burlington native Travis Whitmore punches a double down the third baseline scoring Chad Wright 1-0 Woodchucks.

A grounder by Wisconsin's Jeremy Richter and a Bucks' throwing error allows Whitmore to score the game's second run... The Woodchucks lead 2-0 after one.

And then in the top of the second inning-- Chad Wright rocks a two-run homer with two outs..Wisconsin effectively ends the Waterloo Bucks' playoff hopes 9-0.
