Iowa Northern train derailment in Greene

GREENE (KWWL) -- A train derailed south of Greene early Tuesday morning.  It happened around 1:50 a.m. along Sand Hill Rd.

Iowa Northern Railway, which operates the track, says six Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) cars left the tracks.  The six cars were carrying corn.  No one was hurt and a cause is being determined.

Officials say the derailment should be cleared between 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night.  In the meantime, trains in Waterloo will have to wait until the mess is cleared to use the tracks.
