Little Brown Church reunion

NASHUA(KWWL)--An annual celebration of marriage took place in Nashua's Little Brown Church.

More than a hundred couples came to renew their vows, most of which walked down the Little Brown Church's aisle the first time they made their vows.

Couple like Kenneth and Elsie Weaver drove from Rochester, Minnesota to revisit their day 55 years ago.

"Well, I guess it make us appreciate that we've had a good life together--brings back memories of the years that have gone by," Elsie Weaver said.

"And I believe its such a witness as to what it means to make commitments to one another and keep them and you can see that it's a real joy they have in one another and they can look back at life experiences and realize that there's no one else in the world that went through all those experiences with them the same as their spouse," said Pastor Jim Mann.

The annual reunion has been going on for 57 years.

Weddings have taken place at the church for the last 97 years. 73,950 couples have tied the knot at the Little Brown Church.
