Two planes crash at Iowa Falls Airport

IOWA FALLS (KWWL) -- The Hardin County Sheriff says two planes crashed into each other at the Iowa Falls Airport just before 2 p.m. on Friday.

A spokesperson with the Federal Aviation Administration says the planes, a a Cessna 182 and a Mooney 20-C, collided. One of the planes ended up on top of the other.

There were three people involved in the accident, and only one person was injured.

The FAA says it appears one plane may have been taking off and one may have been landing.

There is no control tower at the airport. The FAA is investigating.

We have a crew on the way. Watch KWWL and for more details as they become available.
