Reward for CR robbery suspect


CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - Cedar Rapids police were called to a robbery at First Federal Credit Union near the intersection fo First Avenue and Fifth Street just west of downtown Cedar Rapids.

Investigators got the call around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

There's a reward for any information leading to the suspect's arrest.
Police describe the suspect in the robbery as a white man, six feet tall, slender build, wearing navy blue coveralls with a hat and a hood pulled up over his head.
He was also wearing sunglasses and some type of face cover.

Investigators say he entered the credit union with a weapon.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect ran from the credit union.

Credit union president Timothy Byers promises the crook will be punished:  "My employees had a gun pointed at their face.  My members were ordered to go to the floor.  You do not come into First Federal and do that to my people.  I will work with the authorities 100%."
