KWWL Sports Anchor / Reporter

Growing up in Dike, right here in Eastern Iowa, I've always had a passion for sports, but soon realized that I didn't have nearly enough talent to play or coach.  So, I did everything I could to find my own way to be part of the action.

We may not have the big professional teams that you find in the big cities, but with the Cyclones, Hawkeyes, Panthers, numerous small colleges, and a fantastic high school sports scene, there's no where else I'd rather be.  My favorite part of it all is getting to know the athletes, coaches, and fans that make this such a great place, and bringing you their stories.

I've had several opportunities to cover bowl games, NCAA tournaments, NFL football, and the Stanley Cup playoffs, and I've always enjoyed bringing these experiences home to you, our loyal viewers.

I graduated from Central College in 2000, and while I'm still loyal to the Dutch, I do realize I've moved back into Wartburg territory, but I think I've handled that well so far.  During my college years, I had a great opportunity to study one semester in Carmarthen, Wales, UK, and would highly recommend it to anybody.

In the rare occasions I'm not at home with my wife Rachael and our 2 girls, you may find me hacking up one of our municipal golf courses (don't worry, I'm replacing my divots).  I also love hitting the local sports scene, because there's just something great about being a fan.

If you ever see me out and about, don't hesitate to stop by and say hi, and if you have any story ideas to share, please send me an e-mail.
