Researchers may have a new tool to diagnose Alzheimer's disease early.
Researchers in Sweden looked at biomarkers in the spinal fluid of patients with mild cognitive impairment -- a condition that often precedes Alzheimer's disease.
They found they were able to predict progression to Alzheimer's disease using three specific biomarkers.
Experts say the test is not fool proof -- several more kinks need to be worked out before it can be used routinely.
