Police ask for public help to find shooting suspect


WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Police have identified a suspect in a recent shooting that sent three people to the hospital.

On July 13, police responded to a shooting on West 3rd Street. 16-year-old Edward Degraffinreed is still in the hospital in guarded condition. 17-year-old Damarrius Todd and 25-year-old Trevell McCoy were also injured.

Police are now searching for 17-year-old Darius Caston of Waterloo. Caston is a black male, 5' 11" and 185 pounds. Police have issued warrants for his arrest on the following charges:

Three counts of willful injury.
Three counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
Three counts of going armed with intent.

Bond has been set at $1.35 million.

The Waterloo Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating Caston. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call the Waterloo Police Department at 319-291-4333.
