The Murder on the Dubuque in 1902

DAVENPORT (KWWL) -- A fight aboard the Steamboat Dubuque in Davenport resulted in the deaths of two people July 10, 1902.

Father and son Christopher Leonidas and Lee Leonidas were on the boat. The two were said to have been bothering crew members and pulled their guns after a fight.  Shipmate Dan Breen was quicker and killed both of them.

Breen was arrested by a US Marshal who was on the boat on vacation to Clinton.  Breen was later acquitted.
