LATIMER (AP)--Federal aviation investigators say a small plane hit some power lines before it crashed in a field near Latimer in northern Iowa last week.
The pilot, David Colglazier of Latimer, was killed in the crash on Friday. He was the only one on board.
The Federal Aviation Administration filed a preliminary report on Monday. The National Transportation Safety Board, which is the lead agency in the investigation, will include the FAA's report in its final report on the probable cause of the accident.
