Internet leads to Linn County prostitution bust

LINN COUNTY (KWWL) - An internet search leads to a first for police officers in Linn County.

Officers with Cedar Rapids and Marion Police Departments, as part of the Law Enforcement Intelligence Network, looked at several internet sites.  They searched for "Cedar Rapids Escorts" and set up their operation in a hotel.

Monday, the task force eventually made contact with one woman, who arrived with items that would lead the "average person" to believe this was a prostitution service.

54-year-old Ann Marie Dresselhaus was charged with Prostitution.

This was the first time the LEIN Task Force searched through the internet. They plan to continue this type of covert operations. No children were found during this operation.
