Code Red added in Buchanan County

BUCHANAN COUNTY (KWWL) -- Buchanan County becomes the latest area in Iowa to offer a new emergency communications network called Code Red.  The announcement that the county was entering a contract with Emergency Communications Network Inc. was made Monday in a news release.

The system, which gives officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification to targeted areas, or the entire city, was recently added in Black Hawk County.  It takes effect there July 1st.
