Habitat Build-A-Thon with Kurt Warner

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Hundreds of Habitat for Humanity Americorps volunteers are in eastern Iowa helping to rebuild following last year's flood.  They're being joined by world-famous Iowan Kurt Warner in a one-week mission.

The flood waters reached farther than anyone thought possible, covering miles of Cedar Rapids and destroying hundreds of homes.  This week, more than 500 Habitat for Humanity Americorps members are on a building blitz, helping build 20 homes.

There will be all day construction at the east and west build sites Monday through Friday for the project.  The East location is the 6600 block of Colorado Dr.  The West location is the 500 block of Moose Dr.

Kurt and brenda warner will be working on the east site Monday morning and the West site in the afternoon.  Closing ceremonies will be held Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Coe College's Sinclair Auditorium.
