One year anniversary of boy scout tornado

Posted:

OMAHA, NE (KWWL) - On June 11th, 2008,  severe storms caused damage in western Iowa.  Not by flood waters, but tornadoes.

One twister hit a boy scout camp in Little Sioux.
About 100 scouts were at the camp for leadership training.
Four scouts died and nearly 50 more hurt.

There was a memorial flag ceremony in Omaha Thursday morning.
Boy scout troops across the midwest are flying their flags at half-staff to mark the anniversary.
