WAVERLY (KWWL) More than two and half feet of water filled St. Paul's Lutheran School last June.

Both the school and the church were impacted.

Thanks to numerous donations and help from volunteers across the Midwest, the kingergarten through sixth grade school was open in time for the start of this school year and looks as good as new.

In all, the school's damage totaled more than $170,000. Desks and walls had to be replaced as well as the school's boiler system.

Many of the students' homes were also affected by the flood, but thanks to donations the school made sure all the students could afford to pay the tuition for this past school year.
