Former Black Hawk Joe Pavelski Back Home for a Visit

Posted:

Former Waterloo Black Hawks star Joe Pavelski enjoyed his best season on the NHL's best team during the regular season that is--the San Jose Sharks .

Unfortunately, the postseason was not kind to the top seeded Sharks-- they were devoured in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs by the Anaheim Ducks.

So Joe Pavelski has a little extra time on his hands so he is visiting his adopted home of Waterloo--where his #8 jersey is retired and the place where he met his wife Sarah

What makes it really hard is that during the regular season-- Pavelski's Sharks split four games against the Detroit Red Wings--and won their only meeting with the Pittsburgh Penguins the two teams playing in the Stanley Cup Finals.
