OWI charge in Waterloo Crash

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Police say a Waterloo man faces drunken driving charges following a crash on Ansborough Ave.  It happened around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday in front of the National Cattle Congress in Waterloo.

Police say 23-year old Dustin Paulson was drunk and crashed his truck into a light pole.  Paulson did not appear to have serious injuries.  He's charged with OWI and Driving with a Suspended License.

Witness Mark Winburn was on his way home from work when he noticed the crash shortly after it happened.

"I went up and he was kind of moving around a little bit and I opened the door for him and helped pull him out and he just got out and walked over and sat down on the curb and didn't really know what was going on he was pretty dazed," witness Mark Winburn said.
