Tourist attraction vandalized

BREMER COUNTY (KWWL) - Authorities in Bremer County are investigating a vandalism at an old home for county dependent adults.

It happened along Highway 63 at the vacant Poor Farm Home. A foundation is working to renovate it into a tourist attraction, but May 26th, damage was found indicating that vandals had forced entry in and caused $10,000 in damage.

"They broke some ceiling and work tile, just a variety of things, some equipment and stuff," said Ann Harms, Poor Farm Foundation.

The Bremer County Sheriff's Department has increased patrols at the home. They haven't made any arrests, but are investigating a few possible leads.
