Major Flooding Possible


FINCHFORD (KWWL) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the West Fork Cedar River at Finchford until Monday morning.

At 9:45 am Wednesday the stage was 9.8 feet and steady. Right now, no flooding is occurring but major flooding is forecast.

The flood stage is 12 feet and the West Fork Cedar River is forecast to rise above flood stage Thursday and continue rising to 17.5 feet Saturday morning.  It's expected to fall below flood stage Monday morning.

Officials say at 18 feet, water flows over the intersection of County Road T71 and County Road C55 at the general store.
