WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A new survey from the Commonwealth Fund finds women are much more likely than men to have problems getting necessary medical care because of costs.
52% of women surveyed said they'd skipped out on necessary treatments, medications or doctors visits because of healthcare costs. That's compared to just 39% of surveyed men.
Researchers attribute the problem to women using the healthcare system more, but having lower average incomes than men.
