Burglary at Creekside Market

Posted:

IOWA CITY (KWWL)-- A business in Iowa City is without a front door Saturday morning following an overnight burglary.

Iowa City Police were called to the Creekside Market on Highway 6 East around 2 a.m. Saturday and found the glass in the front door smashed open. Police searched the area and were not able to locate a suspect.

About two hours later, employees from the same market notified police of a second burglary attempt, as they discovered a person near the back of the business.

The suspect fled the scene. Employees say the person is described as a tall white male, who was wearing dark pants and a dark top. Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward.
