Michelle Schupbach: Athlete of the Week

Posted:

All Michelle Schupbach of Waterloo Columbus does is win state titles.

Since teaming with her sister Andrea to take the 1A State Doubles title in her freshman year--- Michelle has teamed with good friend Lauren Friedman to win two more in her sophomore and junior seasons. Now Michelle Schupbach has a chance to do what no one else in the state has ever done-- win 4 state doubles titles.

Just watching Michelle Schupbach compete is to witness a cool, calm and collected athlete on the tennis court. But being a 3-time State Champion also means there is always a target on her back.

Michelle Schupbach isn't just a great tennis player-- she's also an excellent student with a four-point plus grade point average-- she also scores high marks in community service and this four sport star was just recently awarded The Columbus athlete of the year award

Sailor tennis coach Dave Will says she's a once in a lifetime athlete.

We want to salute Michelle Schupbach our Athlete of the week.
