DES MOINES (AP)--A man accused of shooting and killing his estranged wife on Interstate 235 in Des Moines is to go on trial in Polk County.
Randy Davis' first-degree murder trial is to start on Monday in Polk County District Court.
He's charged with killing his wife, Michele Davis, last September. She was found dead after her car went out of control near downtown. Police believe she died in the wreck, but an autopsy showed she had been shot.
Witnesses reported seeing a red pickup truck in the area at the time of the car crash.
