Massive cuts at Iowa colleges

Cedar Falls (KWWL) - More cuts are coming to Iowa universities.

Today the Board of Regents discussed the upcoming budget. They expect to cut 40 to 50 positions at UNI through attrition and retirment, and up to 200 positions at Iowa State.

This creates larger class sizes, so the Board is looking for ways to reileve the stress.

"Course are delivered over the Internet for exmple and I don't want to say this is the solution to all the problems but just use that as an example. There can be unlimited number of students who participate," said David Miles, Regents President.

The Regents will release more details during their June meeting.
