CHARLES CITY (AP) -- A jury has found a New Hampton man guilty in the fatal stabbing of another man outside a Charles City bar.

Forty-three-year-old Richard Cortez did not react as the judge read the verdict Wednesday night in Floyd County District Court.

Cortez was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Kenyon Armstrong of Charles City.

The jury also found him guilty of two counts each of assault with intent to inflict serious injury and willful injury for stabbing another man and a male juvenile at the bar on May 17, 2008.

The trial lasted just over a week.
