Wartburg class no longer in Mexico

WAVERLY (KWWL) -- The H1N1 flu epidemic in Mexico has changed the May Term plans for 30 Wartburg students.

On Monday, the Mexican government closed all schools and universities in the country, including Wartburg's associated university in Cuernavaca, Mexico. As a result, the May Term course in Mexico was canceled.

The 30 students enrolled will now take an upper division Spanish course on campus with Professor Robert Strong.

Wartburg's Global and Multicultural Studies Office has been carefully monitoring developments concerning the H1N1 flu outbreak and its appearance in several parts of the world.
