Court hearing for Iowa man in murder-for hire plot
An Algona man accused in a murder-for-hire plot targeted at his wife will be arraigned on May 11.
Sixty-year-old George Bennett is charged with attempted murder. He was charged April 14 after a monthlong investigation. Authorities say Bennett entered into an agreement with undercover state agents that would have caused his wife's death.
Bennett remains in the Kossuth County jail on $250,000 bond.
