President's rail commitment hitting home

WASHINGTON D.C. (KWWL) -- President obama's commitment to high speed rail service could hit home soon.

The president has dedicated $8 billion to updating and expanding rail services, and he's asking for another $5 billion over the next five years.

Eastern Iowa leaders are praising the president's actions, as this could mean the Dubuque, Quad Cities and Iowa City projects could begin sooner than expected.
