Kehoe wants to modify no-contact order

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (AP) -- A Coralville woman accused of killing one son and trying to kill another wants to modify a no-contact order so she can see her husband.

Michelle Kehoe is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and child endangerment. She is accused of killing her 2-year-old son, Seth, and attempting to kill her 7-year-old son, Sean, in rural Buchanan County last October.

A judge approved a no-contact order last week. It keeps Kehoe from having contact with her surviving son and anyone living with or related to him.

Kehoe's husband, Eugene, has visited with his wife in the Buchanan County jail. According to a motion, he wishes to continue the visits.

A review hearing is set for April 14, where a trial date is expected to be scheduled.
