Kirkwood offers reward in bomb threats

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) Kirkwood Community College is offering a $ 2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for two recent bomb threats against the Cedar Rapids college on April 1 and 2.

Investigators say they have determined both threats originated from a second floor computer in Linn Hall on the Kirkwood main campus. Linn Hall has a kiosk area of computers for students on the second floor, and the threats were sent from that location. WHO-TV in Des Moines received the two original threats and passed that information on to Cedar Rapids police.

Kirkwood is asking its students reflect on those days and try to remember any suspicious activities on the second flood of Linn Hall and report any talk they might overhear of the incidents.  Information can be reported to Cedar Rapids crime Stoppers at 1-800-CR-CRIME.
