Iowa City man beaten and robbed

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- Police say an Iowa City man was beaten so badly, he'll likely need surgery to repair the damage.

A 20-year-old man told police he was beaten and robbed in the parking lot of Los Cocos around 2 a.m. on Saturday. The victim was leaving Los Cocos when he said a man charged him and struck him in the face. The victim fell to the ground where he says he was kicked in the face while others people were watching. The attacker took the victim's wallet before leaving.

The victim went to the hospital later that day. He has multiple fractures to his face.

Police say the suspect is a black male in his 20's, 6'2" and 180 pounds.
