"Light" smoking rate rising in young adults

(NBC) -- A new report from an anti-tobacco group called the American Legacy Foundation profiles so-called "light" smokers.

That is, people who smoke fewer than 10 cigarettes a day.

Young adults living in states with stricter smoking laws are more likely to be occasional smokers, but overall, the 'light' smoking rate is rising among the under 30 crowd.

That's concerning to experts who say college students who smoke at least five days a month were more likely to have shortness of breath than non-smokers.
