Two Iowans die in weekend crashes

EASTERN IOWA (KWWL)--  Two Iowa men, both in their 20's have died in single car crashes during the weekend.

The first crash happened early Sunday morning. 20-year-old Drew Scott of Monmouth died after striking a utility pole in Jones County.

Jones County Sheriff reports Scott was on Highway 136 south of Wyoming when his vehicle left the road, hit a utility pole and rolled on its top.

Another crash in Jackson County killed a 26 year old Maquoketa man.

Ryan Garien was a passenger in a vehicle that rolled on Bellevue-Cascade Road 13 miles north of Maquoketa.

He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver, 27-year-old Donald McLaughlin was injured in that single-vehicle rollover.

His condition is unknown.
