Cold won't stop these golfers

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Golfing season is here once again, and neither the economy nor the chilly April teperatures can keep the die hards away.

"We consider this leasure and entertainment and people are still going to spend the money on entertainment," said Irv Warren Club pro Andy DeVine.  "What I have found out is people don't plan on going away this year. They plan on staying here and using the facilities in Waterloo."

"I like to come out here no matter how bad the weather its," said Tom Richter. "The last time I came out my hands were so numb I couldn't push the tee in the ground, but still love to play."

"Here at Irv Warren we always have players. Doesn't matter if it's 10 degrees and 50 MPH winds, we still have players," said DeVine.

The Waterloo Open is always a big event.  This year it's July 15th through the 19th.
