MAQUOKETA (AP)--Authorities have arrested a man in the burglary of a home in rural Bellevue in northeast Iowa where $21,000 in cash and other items were stolen last month.
Terry Pinaire, of Maquoketa, is charged with third-degree burglary.
The Jackson County sheriff's office says a tip led authorities on Saturday to a trash bin behind a Maquoketa business where they found a duffel bag. Authorities say inside the bag was $15,000 and jewelry stolen from 78-year-old Irene Wyatt's home on March 9. Another tip led to Pinaire's arrest.
Authorities say a search of Pinaire's home and a storage unit in Clinton turned up most of the stolen items, including a flat-screen television and toolbox.
