CPR Sunday, training to save lives

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- People learned how to save lives Sunday as part of the 18th annual American Red Cross CPR Sunday.

The Red Cross hopes to re-certify and train hundreds of people in infant, child and adult CPR.
In just a few hours time, people learned why starting CPR immediately is vital.

"For every minute that passes that you're not doing CPR on someone, that's 10 percent less chance of survival," said Chris Roberts with the American Red Cross.

The Red Cross says if you're in an emergency situation, call 9-1-1 first and then begin CPR.
They say if you aren't trained in CPR, try to find someone who is.
