Housing professional to help Operation Threshold

WATERLOO (KWWL) Through its many housing programs, Operation Threshold helps so many Eastern Iowans throughout the course of a year. That help is especially necessary, given the housing crisis of late, brought on by the credit crisis. Today, Operation Threshold announced a new player in its efforts to help Iowans. See the operation Threshold Press Release issued today:

Operation Threshold is pleased to announce that in February 2009, Lekeisha Veasley received certification as a Housing Development Finance Professional (HDFP) from the National Development Council (NDC). Certification is a designation given to individuals who successfully complete an intensive housing development finance training series that is conducted by NDC. The courses provide individuals working the field of housing development with training in single-family homeownership finance, multi-family housing development finance, housing development finance including problem solving and deal structuring, and creation and implementation of development programs.

The certification program requires the completion of four courses ranging from three to five days in length.  The program then ends with a written exam, which must be passed before a certification candidate is allowed to continue in the Housing Development Finance Professional Certification Program. When a candidate has completed the entire four week series, a comprehensive examination is given.

Lekeisha Veasley is the Lead Housing and Fair Lending Counselor for Operation Threshold located in Waterloo, Iowa.
