Black Hawks make it 4 in a row

Posted:

WATERLOO-  The Black Hawks appear poised to start another late season win streak after beating Fargo at Young Arena Saturday for their fourth win in a row. Scott Pavelski's shootout goal prevented the Black Hawks from squandering a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period to win 4-3 in the shootout.

Waterloo trailed 1-0 heading into the second period.  With a little power play time left to start the second, Patrick Wey's wrist shot from the right point was banged home by Jordan Samuels-Thomas, his team leading 25th goal of the season, to tie the game at 1-1.

Later in the 2nd, on another power play, Ben Miller fired a perfect saucer pass across the crease to a wide open Brock Montpetit and the future Wisconsin Badger gave the Black Hawks a 2-1 lead after two periods of play.

In the 3rd, Craig Smith scored the Hawks third power play goal of the night to put the game out of reach.
