Former mayor arrested for drunken boating

CLEAR LAKE (KWWL) -- Former Mason City Mayor Roger Bang faces drunken boating charges.

The Iowa DNR arrested Bang Tuesday night on Clear Lake.

Wednesday he said he was entertaining a group of people there for RAGBRAI, and he regrets what happened.

Bang has been released on bond.

He served on the Mason City City Council for 16 years and was Mayor from 2006 through 2009.
