Iowa OL Bulaga belts long balls at Brewers game

Posted:

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Packers first-round draft pick Bryan Bulaga belted 14 homers in batting practice before the Milwaukee Brewers played the Philadelphia Phillies.

The former Hawkeye was the 23rd pick of the April draft and is expected to be an anchor on the offensive line. Bulaga hit several tape measure shots to the second deck on Saturday, showing plenty of extension after the pre-draft knock was that his arms were too short.

The 6-foot-5, 314-pound Bulaga says he played first base, catcher and pitcher in high school.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and right tackle Mark Tauscher took part in batting practice last month, but the two combined for just three homers.
